Papermoon (Duo)

Paper Moon is a Viennese duo, especially in Austria celebrated with Acoustic (guitar and vocals), folk and pop in the 1990s successes.

History

The project in 1991 by Christof Straub (guitar) and Edina Thalhammer (vocals ) was founded. In 1992, their song "Night After Night " was often played in the Austrian radio station Ö3, she signed a record deal. The first album was sold over 100,000 copies (double platinum). The two following albums reached gold yet. The best-known titles are " Tell Me A Poem " and " Lucy 's Eyes". 1996 left Edina Thalhammer for nearly seven years, the group and was replaced by Roumina Straub and at times Barbara Pichler. During this time only a maxi and a best-of album with three new titles were published. Edina Thalhammer tried in 2002 with the project " dew " to start a solo career. Since 2004, there is again the original cast. After an unsuccessful nomination for the album Come Closer in 2005 Papermoon was awarded nationally for the album True Love the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category Group Pop / Rock 2006. The tenth album Love Bird is also the last album of the duo.
