Parachute Tower Katowice

The parachute jump tower Katowice is a 1937 erected in Katowice steel truss tower, which was used to train paratroopers. He was 62 feet tall. The original was destroyed during the Second World War. After the war they built a 35 meter high copy. Today it is a monument to the defenders of Katowice against the Wehrmacht. It is the only surviving tower of its kind in Poland.
