A parameter [ para metɐ ː ] ( gr παρά para, ' metron and μέτρον, measure ' next ) is:
- A characterizing property, a characteristic or key figure: in mathematics a special variable, see parameter (mathematics );
- In geometry, a parameter of a conic section;
- In the technology and engineering a particular property of technical systems or components, see Design ( art);
- In music, the properties of the individual sound or compositional characteristics in a piece of music, see musical parameters;
