Paramillo Massif

Nudo de Paramillo (Spanish for: Paramillo node ) is a Colombian inaccessible mountain region of the Andes in the department of Córdoba on the border with Antioquia.

Geography

In the Nudo de Paramillo the Andes into three streamers Córdoba through from south to north.

The Río Sinú and the Río San Jorge have their headwaters in the Nudo de Paramillo. A large part of the territory occupied by the Parque Nacional Natural Paramillo.

Crime

In the Nudo de Paramillo there are areas for growing the coca bush, the initial product of cocaine. The cultivation is 18 and 58, controlled by the FARC, with the fronts number 5. The harvest is usually further processed on site to coca paste.
