Parchman Farm (song)

Parchman Farm is a blue title of the U.S. singer and pianist Mose Allison, who on his album Local Color ( published in 1957 ) is to find the first time.

The title refers to the Established in 1901, the Mississippi State Penitentiary, the oldest and largest detention center of the U.S. state of Mississippi, which is the only maximum security prison Mississippi near the city, in Sunflower County town of Parchman and were imprisoned in the various known bluesmen including Bukka White ( Parchman Farm Blues of the wrote ) and Son House.
