Parco Sempione

The Simplon Park ( Italian Parco Sempione ) is a 386,000 m² large urban park in Milan. The name comes from Corso Sempione, the road to Paris, which begins on Arco della Pace. On the eastern side stands the Castello Sforzesco. The park was built on a former parade ground and was opened in 1893. It was designed by Emilio Alemagna ( 1833-1910 ).

On the resort, 1933, the lookout tower Torre Branca were built as well as the art palace ( Palazzo dell'Arte Italian ), which now houses the Design Museum of the Triennale di Milano.
