Parede ( Portuguese pronunciation: [ vilɐ dɐ pɐɾedɨ ] ) is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Cascais and thus in the district of Lisbon and is located in the former province of Estremadura. The place belongs to the jurisdiction of Cascais and to the diocese and to Regiões Militares ( dt: Military Region) of Lisbon.

The municipality has an area of 3.6 km ² and is 6.5 km from the district town and 12 km from Lisbon and is connected to the Linha do Estoril.

Until 1953 the town was part of the municipality of São Domingos de Rana. From then on, the place with the villages Buzano, Junqueiro, Madorna, Mur, Penedo and Rebelva was founded in the same district as the new community. The limits have been established by Legislative Decree No. 39208 of 14 May 1953.

The community parade is one of six communities in the district of Cascais. It is in the south by the Atlantic Ocean ( Bay of Cascais ), bounded on the east by the municipality of Carcavelos, to the north by the municipality of São Domingos de Rana and west by the municipality of Estoril.

Parede has the status of Vila.

The main attraction of the resort are its beaches, which are suitable with a high iodine content for people with bone problems to cure. In addition, there are two specialized orthopedic hospitals in the community near the beach Avencas.
