Päri ( German Kattentack ) is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Kullamaa ( Kullamaa vald ) in Lääne in Estonia.

Population and location

The village has 39 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). It is located 31 kilometers south-east of the district capital of Haapsalu.

The Estonian name of the village is derived from the Berg family, which included the area in the 16th century.

The manor of Päri was first mentioned in records in 1450 under the name Kattentappe. Since the second half of the 18th century the estate was owned by the noble Baltic German family Maydell. The Estonian government expropriated it in the course of the land reform of 1919.

The small, two-storey mansion in the style of early classicism was built in the late 18th century. The lower ground floor served as economic development. Today the building is preserved only as a ruin. The caretaker's house with its thick walls and the mantel chimney is older than the main house and was built before the mid-18th century. He, too, are only received some walls.

The buildings were surrounded by a small park. The historical windmill in the Dutch style of the estate was recently a quarry to the victim.
