Paride Tumburus

Paride Tumburus ( born March 8, 1939 in Aquileia ) is a retired Italian footballer and later coach.

He was part of the team of FC Bologna, the 1963/64, won the Italian championship last to this day for the club and already recorded two years earlier part of the national team of his native country at the World Cup in Chile in 1962.

Later Tumburus became a coach, in this function but only briefly active.

Career

Club career

Paride Tumburus, born in 1939 in the northern Italian city of Aquileia, signed in 1959 his first contract with FC Bologna. As a result, the defender should remain the club for nine years until 1968, faithful and complete in this time 200 league games with four goals. The first years were usually finished in the upper middle of the Serie A, attack seriously top of the table you could not. In the season 1963/64, but then succeeded in the great attempt. In the years 1962 and 1963 it brought Paride Tumburus to a total of four appearances in the Italian national football team. A scoring this did not succeed. From national coach Paolo Mazza, he was appointed to the levy of the Italians for the Football World Cup 1962 in Chile. In the tournament, however, the defender of Bologna was only in one game, the second group match against Chile, known as the Battle of Santiago, are used. Italy was defeated 0-2 by the hosts.
