Paris Blues

Paris Blues ( Original title: Paris Blues ) is a novel by Walter Bernstein and Harold Flender, which was filmed in 1961, directed by Martin Ritt. In the lead roles, the couple Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward play alongside Sidney Poitier.

Action

The American jazz musician Ram Bowen (Paul Newman) and his friend Eddie Cook ( Sidney Poitier ) live in Paris. Bowen would like to compose in the city, Cook missed the racist hostility in his homeland. Her love for Paris is put to the test when they are in the Americans Connie Lampson ( Diahann Carroll ) and Lillian Corning ( Joanne Woodward ) fall in love. They want to return to the States with them. Although Bowen this new concept seriously considering, he realizes later, the music is the most important thing in his life and he will continue to search in Paris.
