The Paris Codex ( Codex Peresianus ) is one of the three remaining authentic and certainly manuscripts of the Maya writing. He is kept in the Bibliothèque National Paris and is an almanac of prophecies.
He was found in 1859 in a trash bin at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. He is the shortest and worst preserved of these three manuscripts with 1.45 meters and 22 pages. The lettering and painting can be seen only in the central part of the site. It is dated to 1300-1500.
