Paris is a small town and the administrative seat of Edgar County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2000, Paris had 9077 inhabitants.

Geography

Paris is located at 39 ° 47'52 " north latitude and 88 ° 16'54 " west longitude. The city covers more than 5.5 square kilometers, which consist exclusively of land area.
