Paris Volley

Paris Volley is a French volleyball club which plays in the French League and the Champions League.

Team

The squad of 2006/07 season consists of 14 players. Coach is the Brazilian Mauricio Motta Paes. The assistant coach is called Dorian Rougeyron.

The positions: acceptance (A ), outside attack (AA), Diagonal ( D), Libero (L ), middle block (M), Universal (U) and setter (Z).

History

Paris Volley was created in July 1998 through a merger of the two clubs Université Paris Club and PSG Asnières volley. PSG has already played in the first division, but when the TV station Canal retired as principal sponsor, you had to work with another club to secure the existence. The new club has already won numerous titles.

National League and Cup

Two years after the founding of Paris Volley for the first time French champion and defended the title until 2003. During the season 2005/ 06 the club won the championship again and also picked for the second time Supercup. In the cup competition, the club was in the capital even in the first season successfully. In the next two years and in 2004 he won the Cup again.

European Cup

The overall winner from 2001 is set in the 2006/07 season back in the Champions League. Meet the French in Group B on the top 3 of last season, Sisley Treviso ( Italy), Iraklis Thessaloniki ( Greece) and VK Dynamo Moscow ( Russia), as well as Noliko Maaseik (Belgium) and Ortec Rotterdam (Netherlands). Each team will play five home and five away games.
