Park Jang-soon

Park Jang -soon, also Park Jang- Sun ( born April 10, 1968 in Boryeong, Chungcheongnam -do ) is a former South Korean wrestler. He was Olympic champion in 1992 in the free style in the welterweight division.

Career

Park Jang -soon began as a teenager with the rings, where he focused on the free style. The 1.71 meter tall athlete was sponsored by Samsung Life Insurance & Co in Seoul, for the sports club he started also. He was trained by Min Byung -chan.

In 1987 he started at age nineteen for the first time at a World Cup. In Clermont- Ferrand he reached there at lightweight a good 6th place.
