49-51 Park Place is an address in New York's Lower Manhattan at the intersection with West Broadway between the broken skyscraper construction 30 Park Place hundred meters to the east and the site of Ground Zero one block west.

The multi-storey building with the Year 1923 was home to up to the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001 on the ground floor a showroom of Burlington Coat Factory. During the attacks the landing gear of one of the planes crashed through the roof and destroyed the top two floors. The building was then empty for a time and is (as of December 2009) still half destroyed. In the meantime, an Islamic prayer room was set up.

It is planned to return and rebuild of a 11-story community center with mosque, whose start was made for the tenth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center in view. President Barack Obama mid-August 2010 expressed several times with approval to the decision of the competent local authorities in New York for planning permission. However, the relocation of the mosque because of overcrowding from nearby TriBeCa is controversial in the U.S. and New York's population. The New York Muslims share so far about one hundred mosques.
