Parkano

Parkano [ pɑrkɑnɔ ] is a city in western Finland. It is located midway on the VR railway from Tampere to Seinäjoki and has 6917 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). The local area is 909.76 km ², with 57.49 km ² of which are water surfaces.

Parkano is the starting point for trips to the few km east National Park located Seitseminen.

Parkano is located on State Road 3 Helsinki - Vaasa and State Road 23 Pori, Joensuu. East of Parkano the railway line runs from Helsinki to Oulu and Seinäjoki Tampere on, which was also the Parkano Train Station. In the city center there is the bus station. Daily, from where buses depart for Helsinki, Tampere, Seinäjoki, Pori, Kihniö and Ikaalinen.
