Parks and Recreation, also known as Parks & Recreation - The Parks Commission known, is an American comedy series by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, which will be broadcast on NBC since 2009. Until May 2013 for five seasons were shown, the charisma of the sixth season began in September 2013. A seventh season is planned. The German Air Date started on 9 May 2012 at the pay- TV channel Glitz *. In Free TV serial is aired on Comedy Central Germany since 5 July 2013.

The 100th episode aired on NBC on January 9, 2014.

Action

The fictional town of Pawnee is a medium sized city in the U.S. state of Indiana. She is depicted as a city with many economic and social problems. That's the town motto First in friendship, fourth in obesity ( " number one in friendship, fourth in obesity "). The series follows the mockumentary style of everyday life in the green area of the City, which is responsible for parks and recreational facilities in the city.

Background

  • For exterior shots of City Hall City Hall of Pasadena, California was used.
  • A running gag, the wall paintings in the city hall, depicting scenes from the history of the Pawnees, but these are mostly racist and extremely brutal. Another recurring element are frequent plagues Raccoon City.
  • Daniels and Schur planned originally an offshoot of the series " The Office" (The Office ) for which they were both working as authors, but eventually opted for a stand-alone series. Nevertheless, sharing "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" the mockumentary style.
  • As with many modern comedy series, only one camera is used when filming, which increases the production cost and time, but more creativity when filming allowed.
  • Many jokes are improvised by the actors.
