Parliament of Sierra Leone

The Parliament of Sierra Leone (English Parliament of Sierra Leone ) is the unicameral Parliament in the West African state of Sierra Leone. It is often also called " House of Representatives " (English House of Representatives ) refers.

The Parliament of Sierra Leone comprises 124 deputies, of which 112 directly elected in 112 constituencies for five years. 12 seats are guaranteed for tribal chiefs ( Paramount Chiefs). Are entitled to vote citizen over 18 years.

The Parliament is located in the capital Freetown on Parliament Hill. Current President of the Parliament is Abel Nathaniel Stronge (APC ).

The last elections were held on 17 November, 2012. The All People's Congress ( APC) won 67 seats, the Sierra Leone People's Party 42 seats. 3 seats remained vacant for the time being.
