Parotocinclus jumbo

Parotocinclus (Latin: "par" = equal Otocinclus ) is a genus of catfish family of armored catfish ( Loricariidae ) and the subfamily Hypoptopomatinae. There are over 25 species that are common in the south-eastern Brazil, but also in the Amazon basin.

Features

Parotocinclus species are small, somewhat stocky armored catfish that reach body lengths of 3 to 6 cm and remember in their body shape, known from the Aquaristik genus Otocinclus. The hull is protected by three to five bone plate rows. Characteristic of the genus of imperforate Temporalschild is (background temporal bone ( perforated at Otocinclus ) ). An adipose fin is always present.
