Parrina

Parrina is an Italian wine in the directions of red wine, white wine and rose wine from the community Orbetello in the province of Grosseto, Tuscany. Parrina is also an area in the Tuscan Maremma, between the villages of Albina and Ansendonia and the Monte Argentario peninsula.

The wine Parrina is grown by 21 growers in an area of ​​110 hectares. The mean harvest totals 4109 hl ( 1043 hl of red wine, white wine 2084 hl, 602 hl 280 hl rosé and Reserve). Since 1971, the wine has the status of a DOC.

Parrina Rosso (red)

The red wine is made from Sangiovese ( at least 80 to 90 %) and Cannaiolo / Ciliegiolo / Colorino and / or Montepulciano grapes. It is aged for about a year in oak barrels and then another six months in bottle before it is marketed. When buyers of the wine can be stored for about three to five years.
