Parrot and Olivier in America

Parrot and Olivier in America is a novel by Australian writer Peter Carey. The book was published in 2009 under the title Parrot and Olivier in America and in 2010 was translated into German by Bernhard Robben.

The novel tells life story and adventures of an unequal pair, a hypersensitive - snooty French aristocrat and his worldly-wise servant, homeless son of an English migrant printer, gifted engraver and avid birders clamped together the fate with the help of a shady aristocrats and Banknote forger and an overly worried mother and in has slyly the America of the 1830s.
