Parsons Green tube station

Parsons Green is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 2 on a viaduct over the Parsons Green Lane. In the year 2011 there were 5.94 million passengers these from the District Line station. Southeast of it there is a parking area.

The opening of the station took place on March 1, 1880 by the Metropolitan District Railway, the predecessor company of the District Line, in connection with the commissioning of the route between West Brompton and Putney Bridge. The electrical operation began on 23 July 1905.

Parsons Green is located in the planned railway Chelsea - Hackney, a connection through the center of London (also known as Crossrail 2 refers ). Should the route be built so south of Parsons Green Crossrail trains would supersede those of the District Line. Immediately northeast of the station would branch off the tunnel route through Chelsea.
