Parsteinsee

Parsteinsee is an official belonging to municipality on the northeastern edge of the district Barnim (Brandenburg). It is administered by the Office Britz -Chorin -or mountain.

The municipality was created on 1 March 2002 from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Parstein and Luedersdorf, constituting the two districts today.

Geography

The municipality is located on the eastern shore of the lake Parsteiner about 21 kilometers northeast of the county town of Eberswalde.

The municipal council consists of eight community representatives.

Culture and sights

Worth seeing are two listed Vorlaubenhäuser ( niederdt. Loewinghus ), including one that has contributed to its restoration and the German Foundation for Monument Protection in the district Luedersdorf. All monuments are listed in the list of monuments in Parsteinsee and in the list of ground monuments in Parsteinsee.
