Parthenstein

Parthenstein is a municipality in the district of Leipzig Saxony. The community was founded in 1994 under this new name consists of the villages Grethen, Großsteinberg, Klinga and Pomßen. The municipal office is located in Großsteinberg.

Geography and transport

Parthenstein between Naunhofer Forestry and Planitzwald, not far from the motorway lakes. The surrounding cities are Naunhof 4 km, Trebsen / trough 8 km, 9 km and the town of Brandis Grimsby 6 km. Through the municipal area lead the A14 and the railway line Borsdorf - Coswig. The A14 can be reached via the Klinga connection (approx. 2 km). By districts Grethen and Pomßen the Parthe flows.

History

Klinga likely to be the oldest district in the community. Pomßen is the first time in 1255 and at December 23, 1308 Großsteinberg was first mentioned.
