Partinico

Partinico is a city in the province of Palermo in the Italian region Sicily, with 31 670 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Location and data

Partinico located 31 kilometers west of Palermo. The inhabitants work mainly in agriculture, viticulture or food industry.

The neighboring municipalities are Alcamo ( TP), Balestrate, Borgetto, Carini, Giardinello, Monreale, Montelepre Terrasini and Trappeto.

History

In the 3rd century people settled here already. In the 14th century, the present-day city was founded.
