Partners in Kryme (or Partnerz in Kryme ) was an American hip hop duo from New York. It consisted of James Alpern and Richard Usher.

Career

Their first single Turtle Power was written for the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1990 and was also to be heard. It was a hit in the U.S. and the UK. A second single called Undercover was released by Capitol Records, but did not achieve chart position in the U.S., and so the band never released a full album.

Today

James Alpern then worked as a music producer. Usher was involved in the music production of the film Cool as Ice ( with Vanilla Ice ).
