PAS Giannina F.C.

The PAS Ioannina or PAS Giannina (Greek: Πανηπειρωτικός Αθλητικός Σύλλογος Γιάννινα ) is a Greek football club from Ioannina. He plays in the top division in Greece, the Super League. The club colors are blue and white.

History

The club was founded in 1966 as a result of the merger of two established teams in Ioannina. When merged Atromitos and Averof the club PAS Ioannina was founded. The club was in the late 1970s and early 1980s, known as the Club of Argentine immigrants in Greece than eight players in the squad from Argentina came. This period was the most successful period of the club, the club was named Ajax of Epirus as a nickname. After the disposal of the superstars of the club came in the 1980s to falter and was used to lift the team. In the 1990s, the club kept at this. 2001 managed to rise again. According to financial problems of the club from the First Division in 2003 were relegated. The club was relegated to the fourth division. 2006 succeeded in rising to the second division of the country where the club played until 2008/ 09 and was able to rise again. The team went straight back into the Football League. Once again they failed to qualify 2010/11 for the first division.
