PAS Tehran F.C.

Pas Tehran Football Club was an Iranian football club based in the capital, Tehran, which existed until 2007.


In 1953, some law enforcement officials came together with Captain Assadolahi to better organize the Police Sports Iran. In the same year founded Assadolahi with small means a football team in the capital, Tehran, the officers of the local police academy and he himself belonged: Police Academy Cadets team ( German cadet team of the Police Academy ). It announced the establishment officially announced and took part in the championship of the armed forces. In the first season the team finished second. Only some time later, the main men Assadolahi and Sadeghi led the fortunes of the team whose name in Shahrbani FC changed. On July 8, 1963 Shahrbani F. C. was officially registered as a sports club. In this case, the name changed in Pas. In 1966, the Board of Directors adopted the Articles of Incorporation. Pas was finally a real club.

The club belonged from the beginning to the elite of the Iranian club football. Pas won with the exception of the 1980s, every decade a national championship. However, the 1990s were the most successful in the club history, as Pas twice won the Iranian championship in seasons 1991/1992 and 1992/ 1993 and the Asian Champions League in the season 1993/ 1994. In the season 2003/2004 Pas was national champion again.

Pas Tehran was disbanded at the end of the season 2006/2007. The license for the participation in the Iranian championship went to the newly formed association Pas Hamadan.
