Pascal Hens ( born March 26, 1980 in Daun) is a German handball player. He plays for HSV Hamburg in the German handball Bundesliga 1.

Career

Pascal Hens grew up in Mainz -Kastel ( Wiesbaden). He attended the Wilhelm- Leuschner school and began at the age of six years with the handball matches at club TG Kastel Wiesbaden. He received his fine-tuning in the two years at SV fare home in 1912, where he was invited to the regional and district selection Wiesbaden.

For the SG Wallau mass home, he completed his first Handball Bundesliga game 21 on game day in the season 1999/2000 against the relegated TuS Schutter forest. He threw in this game five goals and Wallau Mass Home won with 29:18. Since Pascal Hens, however, was not yet eligible to play - the club was mistaken in his player pass - the game was seen as a victory for Schutter forest.

In 2000 Hens got his first Bundesliga contract and played until 2002 when Wallau mass home under coach Martin Schwalb. In his first full Bundesliga season 2000/ 01 he made ​​his breakthrough: Pascal Hens got great play and was appointed in March 2001 in the national team. In 2007 he became world champion at the 20th World Handball Championship. In this triumph in their own country, he also scored the most goals for the DHB team. For the world title he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf. After the European Handball Championship 2012, he resigned after a total of 199 internationals back from the national team.

The former HSV coach Bob Hanning took Pascal Hens in the spring of 2003 HSV Hamburg, although Hens offers from THW Kiel, TBV Lemgo and SC Magdeburg templates. Since 2003, Pascal Hens plays for HSV Hamburg at the position of the rear space left.

On 4 February 2008, he was named in Hamburg "Hamburg's Sportsman of the Year ".

His trademark is his mohawk.

Pascal Hens support the initiative as an ambassador respect! No place for racism. He also does not work with at the Forget- AIDS campaign, for which he is to be seen, among other things in TV commercials.
