Pascal Rakotomavo

Pascal Joseph Rakotomavo ( born April 1, 1934 in Antananarivo, † 14 December, 2010 Reunion ) was a Malagasy politician.

Biography

Rakotomavo was first reviewed in 1982 Finance Minister in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Désiré Rakotoarijaona and holding office under his successor Victor Ramahatra until 1989.

21 February 1997, President Didier Ratsiraka appointed him eventually even to the Prime Minister and thus the successor of Norbert Ratsirahonana. His cabinet, which he presented on 27 February 1997, included, among other things Herizo Razafimahaleo as foreign minister, Tantely Andrianarivo as economic and finance ministers as well as Colonel Jean -Jacques Rasolondraibe as interior minister. The Office of the Prime Minister held Rakotomavo until its replacement by Tantely Andrianarivo on 23 July 1998.

On 12 June 2001, he eventually became the first governor of the province of Antananarivo and had that position until February 28, 2002.
