Pasco County, Florida

The Pasco County is a county located in the state of Florida in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Dade City.

History

The Pasco County was formed on 2 June 1887 parts of Hernando County. It was named for Samuel Pasco, who belonged to the U.S. Senate from 1887 to 1899.

In Elfers is the historic Samuel Baker House.

Geography

The county has an area of ​​2,248 square kilometers, of which 319 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Hernando County, Sumter County, Polk County, Hillsborough County and Pinellas County.
