Pashai is a spoken language in Afghanistan. It belongs to the group of languages ​​within the Indo-Aryan dardischen branch of the Indo-Iranian subgroup of the Indo-European language family.

Pashai is spoken north of the Kabul river in several valleys and divided into a number of not mutually intelligible dialects. The number of speakers is estimated at about 100,000.
