Geography

The water rises in Moerholz in Horn-Bad Meinberg Berger Fissenknick district and flows from there north. This is achieved Detmold town area, flows through Upper and Lower Schoenhagen, Old Kamp, Oberhausen, Tuck and Unterwiembeck and ends at km 23.3 in Lemgo district Voßheide in the Bega.

Name change

The water carries the headwaters to the confluence of Mosebecke the name Dorla.

Environment

The headwaters of the Dorla ( 10.6 ha ) and the Marpe and Passadetal (90 ha) are under protection. The Passade is ranked almost at the entire flow path in the water quality class II, which means that it is excessively dirty. An exception is the section between the confluence of the Mosebecke and Brokhauser stream that is allocated to the Class II -III ( critically polluted ). The State Agency for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection of NRW operates a level at the Passade. This is located in the district of Voss Lemgoer heath and is also a gewässerkundlicher level whose data can be accessed online.
