Passenger (singer)
Passenger is the stage name of British singer-songwriter Mike Rosenberg ( born May 17, 1984 in Brighton ).
Biography
Mike Rosenberg learned guitar as a child and as a teenager began to write her own songs. At 16 he had his first appearances and finally decided to take the path of a music career.
Passenger originally started as a joint project of Rosenberg and composer Andrew Phillips. They teamed up in 2007 in Brighton together, and took in the recording studio by Phillips with other musicians, the debut album Wicked Man 's Rest on. The album itself brought it not in the charts, but got good reviews and made the band famous. They were hired by artists such as Kate Nash and The Hold Steady at performances for their opening act. They came in 2008 at SXSW in the U.S. and got the job, the music for the short film Where Have I Been All Your Life? to write.
The following year, working with Phillips and Mike Rosenberg ended released the album Wide Eyes Blind Love alone under the name of Passenger. He changed it to simple singer-songwriter - guitar sound with folk and indie-pop and toured as a simple street musician by the UK and Australia. The following year he took the same two albums, one of which consisted of common parts with Australian musicians such as Kate Miller - Heidke, Boy & Bear and Matt Corby.
For his next album put Rosenberg on more technology and more complex production. All the Little Lights was recorded in Sydney and completed in 2012. It first appeared in Australia and reached number 9 in the album charts there. After that, it was also released in Europe and the USA. The big breakthrough came in the Netherlands in the autumn of the same year. The song Let Her Go was there and also in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium, a big hit, reaching number 1 in both countries, the album came each in the top ten. End of the year he went on international tour with Ed Sheeran, whom he already knew from his youth. Early 2013 was Let Her Go in Sweden and Ireland 's number-one hit. Following the publication in the German-speaking countries, it has also increased as No. 1 on the singles chart and the album in the album chart in the top ten. In the U.S., the album placed first in the Heatseeker charts and was later able to reach the Billboard 200. At the same time he began a self-guided tour through Europe and Australia.
