Passion Sunday

The Passion Sunday (Dominica de Passione ) is named after the Roman Missal of 1570, Palm Sunday preceding 5th Sunday of Lent and is named after its introitus also called Judica. The Roman Missal of 1962 calls him " the first Sunday of the Passion " (Dominica I. Passionis ) and the following Sunday "second Passion or Palm Sunday " (Dominica II Passionis seu in palmis ). The missal referred to as Passion Sunday 5th Sunday of Lent and Palm Sunday as " Palm and Passion Sunday ", but the older name of the fifth Sunday of Lent continues to spread as "Passion Sunday."
