Pat Hitchcock

Patricia Hitchcock (* July 7, 1928 in London) is an American actress and film producer of British descent. She is the daughter of film director Alfred Hitchcock and his wife Alma.

Life

Patricia Hitchcock wanted to be an actress as a child. In the early 40s she began to play theater. She participated in the Broadway productions Solitaire in part (1942 ) and Violet ( 1944), but these were discontinued after three weeks.

In March 1939, the family Hitchcock moved to Los Angeles. Patricia joined the Marymount High School in Los Angeles from 1947. Thereafter, she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In three films of her father Patricia Hitchcock was seen in supporting roles: in 1950 in the red Lola, 1951 in Strangers on a train and 1960 in Psycho. Between 1955 and 1960 they played mainly roles on U.S. television, especially in 10 episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

Patricia Hitchcock married on January 17, 1952 in New York Joseph E. O'Connell, Jr. Both have three daughters: Mary Alma O'Connell ( born April 17, 1953), Teresa O'Connell ( born July 2, 1954) and Kathleen O'Connell ( born February 27, 1959). Patricia and Joseph O'Connell currently live in Solvang, California.

Patricia Hitchcock activity and sporadic film appearances in the recent past are mainly the memory and the care of her father's work. She was among other things, the restoration of Vertigo - involved from the realm of the dead. In addition, she was repeatedly seen as interviewee and time of honor in documentary films and TV documentaries that dealt with her father and his films. Patricia Hitchcock was also executive producer of the documentary The Man on Lincoln 's Nose (2000) on the work of the Art Directors Robert F.
