Pat Murphy (writer)
Patrice Murphy ( born 1955 ) is an American science fiction and fantasy author.
Her second novel, The Falling Woman ( 1986), won the Nebula Award, and she won in the same year another Nebula and a Locus Award for her story Rachel in Love. Her short story collection, Points of Departure (1990 ) won the Philip K. Dick Award, and her short story " Bones" in 1991 won the World Fantasy Award.
She lives in San Francisco and works when she does not write science fiction novels, the Exploratorium and published non-fiction books as part of the museum inventory.
Together with Lisa Goldstein and Michaela Roessner she formed The Brazen Hussies to support their work.
