Patagonian Ice Sheet

The Patagonian Ice Sheet was a massive ice sheet in what is now Chile and western Argentina around 20,000 years ago. On the territory of the former ice sheet, there are now the northern Patagonian Ice Field (Campo de Hielo Norte) and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field (Campo de Hielo Sur ) with a total of over 20,000 km ². Other small skating rinks are in the mountains Cordillera Darwin in Tierra del Fuego.
