Pataxó people

The Pataxó are a Brazilian Indian tribe. They were the first Indians who had contact with the Portuguese conquerors. Today they live in the Indian Reservation Monte Pascoal near Porto Seguro in the state of Bahia.

They live off the land and from the sale of its typical jewelry.
