Pathogen
Pathogen or pathogens are substances or organisms that cause adverse health processes in other organisms. It arranges them in the medicine to the property of pathogenicity. Pathogens can be algae, bacteria, parasites, fungi, prions, protozoa, viruses or viroids.
Subcellular pathogens
Subcellular pathogens are obligate intracellular parasites and toxins differ from normal in that they replicate in host cells by replication; or in the case of non-pathogenic prion by Umfaltungsprozesse prions on the cell surface, multiply.
Microorganisms
The harmful effects of microorganisms is based on three mechanisms:
- They damage the tissue by phagocytosis, that is, they feed on the body's cells
- They cause a very violent immune reaction, especially high fever, can be fatal
- But they actively from substances that deplete the body, or they contain such; these are released when the microorganism dies.
Chemical and physical influences
In some cases, symptoms of poisoning and cell damage -causing chemical or physical influences are referred to as pathogens.
