Pathophysiology

Pathophysiology or " pathological physiology " is conceptually composed of the components pathology and physiology. This pathology is the study of the pathological changes in the body of an organism 's physiology and the study of the functioning of the body (Greek physis ) of a living being.

In the conceptual combination " pathophysiology " is meant, as the body 's normal functions, under the pathological changes and mechanisms which function to the lesion cause ( pathogenesis ). It is accepted that even a lesion still has a certain ( physiologically meaningful ) Normal function by this way the physiological balance of the organism preserved remains ( Homoiostase ). This fact is of crucial importance for the diagnosis, because it assumes a continuum between health and illness, in which ( still ) play normal life processes, and not by a strict distinction between healthy and sick.
