History

The first two of six singles, Freeek! and Shoot the Dog were already published in 2002. Shoot the Dog was a much-discussed piece on the relationship between Britain and the United States. Tony Blair was depicted in the video as a dog, the George W. Bush everywhere follows. The piece was not published in the U.S. as a single. In the studio also includes a cover version of The Grave by Don McLean is captured, a protest song against the Vietnam War. This sang George Michael in March 2003 at the British show Top of the Pops.

On 26 May 2004, Michael came for promotion of the new album at The Oprah Winfrey Show on. In the show, he also talked about his arrest and his coming out.

Criticism

On the Allmusic page could be read as showing the long break to the previous album that George Michael was a perfectionist in the studio. Every piece is polished and many details will be heard. Also Patience is the best album since Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1, but it would be better if George Michael anginge it a little looser.
