Patince

Patince (Hungarian Path or older Pat) is a municipality in southern Slovakia. It lies on the border between the Danube plain and the Danube hilly country, on the banks of the Danube, about 15 km from Komárno and is the southernmost municipality in Slovakia.

The village was first mentioned in 1268 as terra Poth, but was never an independent municipality until the spin-off from the community Marcelová in 1957.
