Patrice Bianchi

Patrice Bianchi ( born April 10, 1969 in Bourg -Saint -Maurice ) is a French former alpine skier. He drove almost exclusively slalom, giant slalom occasionally.

Biography

After he came in the European Cup at the start of his career mainly used Bianchi took part in the 1989 World Cup. The first World Cup points he won on January 6, 1990 as the 14th of the slalom in Kranjska Gora. Two months later, in Veysonnaz, the first place in the top ten. At the 1991 World Championships in Saalbach -Hinterglemm he went to seventh place.

His most successful season was Bianchi 1991/92: He won in Garmisch -Partenkirchen and finished second in Kitzbuhel, which he was certain the end of the season as the fifth- best slalom skier in the world. At the 1992 Olympic Games, which were held in his home nearby, but he dropped out. Another World Cup victory he celebrated on 15 December 1992 in the Slalom the 3- Tre race in Madonna di Campiglio. End of the 1993/94 season he stepped back from professional sports.
