Patrice Evra (born 15 May 1981 in Dakar, Senegal ) is a French football player.
Club career
He spent his youth in Paris St. Germain, before moving to Italy to OGC Nice on Marsala Calcio and AC Monza Brianza said.
After the French - Senegalese moved in 2001 to AS Monaco. There then came his breakthrough as a defender on the left side. When AS Monaco he played from 2002 to 2006 120 league games in which he once hit the target. He won in 2003 with the Monegasque the French League Cup.
On 10 January 2006 Patrice Evra changed for 5.5 million pounds to Manchester United in the first year he won the English league title and the League Cup. In 2008, he was able to complete by winning the next championship with Manchester the Champions League. Evra played through in the final against Chelsea.
National team career
Since its debut in August 2004, he played 54 international matches for the national team of France. In the European Championship finals in 2008, he belonged to the French squad. In the second group match against Netherlands Evra played through. In the deciding match against world champions Italy he played through and also received a yellow card. Both games were lost. France resigned as a group Last in the group phase. In 2010 he participated as at the Football World Cup in South Africa; due to its role as captain of the national team and his involvement in the team infighting he stood at the center of criticism. He was expelled on 17 August 2010 by the Disciplinary Committee of the French Association for five A- international matches for the national team.
