Patrice Lefebvre
Patrice Lefebvre ( born June 28, 1967 in Montreal, Quebec ) is a former Italian- Canadian professional ice hockey player and current coach, who during his career, including for the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League, the Adler Mannheim and Frankfurt Lions in the Deutsche Hockey League and the EHC Biel and HC Lausanne in the Swiss National League B played. Currently he is an assistant coach with the EHC Olten in the National League B.
Career
The 1.68 m wide winger started his career with Shawinigan Cataractes in the Canadian Junior Football League Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Its made in the period 1984-1988 595 points scorer in the regular season, most of the QMJHL player of all time. In 1988, he joined the French Ligue Magnus to the flounces Français de Paris.
After another year in the Swiss National League A in HC Ajoie Lefebvre went in 1990 returned to North America, where it both for the Louisville Icehawks in the minor league East Coast Hockey League and for the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League and the Springfield Indians in the international Hockey League was on the ice. At the end of season 2008/ 09 he retired as a player and became an assistant coach with the Val d'Or Foreurs in the North American Junior League QMJHL.
In 2004, Lefebvre married an Italian woman, and that's why he has become an Italian citizen. In 2007 he played the A- Hockey World Cup with the Italian national ice hockey team.
His coaching career began in 2009 as assistant coach of the Foreurs de Val -d'Or in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 2010 he also played another two games as a player for HC Real Turin in Serie A2. In July 2010, he was coach of Italian club HC Como, where he took over the first team in the third division. Only three months later was followed by an engagement with the HC Lugano Ladies, the women's team of HC Lugano, where he was hired again as coach of the team. After he started the 2012/13 season as an assistant coach for the HC Sierre in the Swiss second highest league, he moved in the course of the same season for EHC Olten.
