Patrice Vermette
Patrice Bricault - Vermette (born 1970 in Montreal ) is a Canadian Designer and art director.
Life
Vermette has as an art director in nearly 500 television commercials and more than 40 music videos, including Metallica and Shania Twain, participated. He has won numerous awards for his advertising campaigns, including in 2000 a silver and a gold Lion at the 2007 International Advertising Festival in Cannes.
As early as 1998, he worked with director Jean -Marc Vallée on the short film Les mots magiques. In 2005, the two worked for C.R.A.Z.Y. - Crazy life together again. For his work on this film Vermette in the Best Art Direction category with the Canadian Film Awards and the Prix Jutra and Genie Award with a prize at the Gijón International Film Festival Award.
Also for Vallées period film Young Victoria from 2009 Vermette was responsible for the scene image. At the Academy Awards in 2010 he was nominated together with Maggie Gray in the category Best Art Direction for an Oscar. Also in the Washington DC Area Film Critics Association Awards, he received a nomination.
For the scene image in the 1981 film by director Ricardo Trogi he was again nominated for a 2010 Genie Award.
