Patricia Medina

Patricia Medina ( born July 19, 1919 in Liverpool, England; † April 28, 2012 in Los Angeles, California ) was a British actress.

Life and career

The daughter of an Englishman and a Spaniard was discovered during their schooling and committed to the Elstree Studios. Her film debut was in 1937 in The girl with the mask.

In 1945 she went to Hollywood and was seen there mainly in B- movies and later in numerous television productions. Her most famous film credits include The Three Musketeers (1948 ) and Mr. Satan himself (1955 ) by Orson Welles.

After she mainly appeared in TV productions since the early 1960s, she came in 1968 in The Killing of Sister George in an unusual role as Women's Domina for the movie back.

In 1978, she retired into private life.

Patricia Medina was from 1941 to 1951 with actor Richard Greene and from 1960 until his death in 1994 with the actor Joseph Cotten, with whom she in the movie U 4000 - played panic among the ocean together, married.
