Patrick Doyon

Patrick Doyon ( born May 17, 1979 in Desbiens, Quebec, Canada ) is a Canadian animator and graphic designer.

Life

Doyon studied graphic design at the Université du Québec à Montréal and dealt during his studies with animated films. His animated short film debut was 32:11 while studying and ran at various film festivals, including the Ottawa International Animation Festival and the Anima Festival Zagreb. After completing his studies Doyon worked from 2004 to 2005 as a storyboard Assistant and Animator / designer among other things for the television cartoon series, Walter (2004) and Station X (2004-2005).

From February to April 2006, he took part in the Hothouse project of the National Film Board of Canada, which is aimed at aspiring animator. As part of Hothouse 2006 Doyons short animated film Square Roots was born. His third and so far last short animated film is Dimanche ( 2011).

Doyon also works as a graphic designer and designed, among other labels in 2008 for the brewery Microbrasserie du Lac St- Jean. His illustrations also appear in various newspapers and magazines, including the magazines L' Actualité and Urbania.
