Patrick Fölser

Patrick Fölser ( born November 16, 1976 in Linz) is an Austrian handball player. Its size is 1.93 m. It is mostly used as a circular rotor.

The trained chef debuted in 1996 for the HC Carinthia in the Handball League Austria; after two years he moved to his hometown for the HC Linz AG. There he remained rather unsuccessful, however, recommended by good performance for an engagement abroad. In 2000 Fölser was taken from the German second division side VfL ​​Pfullingen under contract by which he ascended into the first German Handball - Bundesliga 2002. Then Fölser went to the new league rivals TuS N- Lübbecke. With the East Westphalia in 2003 it rose again in the second handball league from 2004 - with a record score of 68:0 points - but also right back on. Also in the following years Nettelstedt managed only barely in the league, in 2007 you had even in the play-offs against TSV Bayer Dormagen. Fölser Then moved to just relegated to the second division HSG Dusseldorf. With his new club Fölser duly won promotion to the Handball Bundesliga, but increased in the following season with Dusseldorf again. Since the summer of 2011 Fölser plays in the Handball League Austria and runs for SG Handball West Wien on.

Patrick Fölser was also long-standing player in the Austrian national handball team. There he finished in October 2012-16 years after his debut in 1996 against Italy - by 213 international matches for the time being its active team career. Among his career highlights in the national counted among other things, the rise in the main round of the European Handball Championship 2010 in their own country. At the European Championship in 2014, he was again reactivated and played five more matches.
